She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert brothers William Bross Jr. Helen will be missed by her children, Steve (Ann) Popkey, Judy (Rodney) Hoeft, Daniel (Deborrah) Popkey, and Janet (Clarence) Pelroy sisters-in-law Rachel Bross and Beverly Bross 14 grandchildren 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way and many nieces and nephews and good friends. Helen loved spending time with her family here and traveling to Oregon to visit her daughter, Janet. Helen was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1954, serving as past president and being involved in community service. She also enjoyed her morning trips for coffee with her friends. Helen was known around town as “the pretzel lady.” She enjoyed golfing, bowling, and going to garage sales. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Helen married the love of her life, Robert Popkey, on October 14, 1950, in Manchester. She was born on April 12, 1931, in Sharon Township to William and Viola (Broom) Bross Sr. Reverend David Bucholtz will serve as celebrant. Burial to follow immediately after service at Norvell Cemetery. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11am with visitation at 10am until time of service at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel. Helen’s family and friends will gather Tuesday, August 16, 2022, 3pm – 8pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel.
